We are given the equation:

0.6 x + 4.8 = 7.2

In this case, the multiplication property of equality states that whatever is multiplied on one side should also be multiplied on the other side. Now we need to find the number that will make everything a whole number, in this case 5. Multiply everything by 5:

5 * (0.6 x + 4.8 = 7.2)

3 x + 24 = 36

However we can see that we can still further simplify the equation by multiplying everything by 1/3:

(1/3) * (3 x + 24 = 36)

x + 8 = 12

or

x = 4
