For this problem, we use the dimensional analysis approach. This technique is used when you only have to deal with the units. If the same unit is in the numerator and denominator, you cancel them out. Note that there are 1,000 m in 1 km, and there are 3,600 seconds in 1 hour. These conversion factors are used. Technically, we are not changing the quantity because the fractions are just equal to 1.

[m/s][1 km/1000 m][3,600 s/1 h] = 3.6

Thus, the equation would be:
3.6*(m/s) = (km/h)
