The math curriculum is constantly evolving but when I was in 8th grade I took what is called Integrated Math 1 which would be algebra and geometry both combined, rn I'm a senior so that was a few years ago. It also depends on the school district I would assume. I live in California so, my school district is the San Diego Unified School District.
