Given the formular for relating the area A, the two bases, a and b, and the height, h of a trapezoid is given by

A= (1)/(2)h (a+b)

We solve for h as follows:

A= (1)/(2)h (a+b) \\ \\ \Rightarrow2A=h (a+b) \\ \\ \Rightarrow h= (2A)/(a+b)
