The statement above is TRUE.
Medical advance refers to the document which a patient write down in advance in other to indicate the type of medical treatment he or she will prefer in case the person become so sick that they can not communicate this need to the health providers again.
The medical assistant in the hospital is the one who act as the patient's coordinator by providing means of communication between the other health providers and the patient. So, it is their duty to ensure that the patient has an advance directive in place.
