The reason for the establishment is Colonists fled Massachusetts in search of better farmland.
The agricultural sector in massachusetts region could not be well developed because of the poor soil condition on that region. The rhode island region on the other hands, had a highly nutritious soil and perfect temperature for agricultural plants.
