Where Did the Native Americans Fish In the 1600s-1700s?

The great lakes region of the United States was a hot bed for Native American fishing in the 1600-1700's. Along with that the rivers that flow across the US were also a large source of fish as well. Spears and nets were tools commonly used, as well as traps set up in the water.
