Why does gladwell use the word "bargain" instead of "agreement" or "deal"

The reason Gladwell prefers to utilize the term of bargain as opposed to other words that have similar meanings, is due to the fact that it provides a specific set of tone and voice that the author is trying to implement as he is making his point to readers.
