There are five conditions, or characteristics, common to all civilizations which are:


Advanced Cities: Where the civilization starts taking shape, people in a huge number live there making it the center of trade and commerce.

Institutions: An organized system or institution which can serve for a long period of time in a community.

Record Keeping: Traditions and ritual makes a fundamental part of a civilization, writing them or using any other method to preserve them.

Skilled Workers: Those who are capable of doing a certain job with specialty.

Advanced / Improved Technology: When a large number of people live together there are new problems and new solutions improving on the existing ones, those can be techniques or tools or anything which helps improve on the previous.
