The Bantu education act legalized some aspects of apartheid in South Africa. Under this act, provisions were made to discriminate students in educational institutes on the basis of color. However, this act faced severe resistance from the black population because black youth recognized if they want to improve their condition they need a good education. Therefore, the youth became radicalized and employed militant action to protest against Bantu Education. Moreover, they formed various youth organisations and joined wider political groups. As a result, the government had to repeal the Bantu education act.
