What factors likely led some early Americans to change from hunting to farming?

Hunting does not always assure the supply of food. It demands much labor and surveillance. Farming offers a constant supply of food. The food source is always at one place and no need to run after a prey. It will not affect the wild life and no threat to human life too. It does not need the service of powerful person.
