Simplify 8^ -5 over 8^ -3 <-- this is a fraction

A: 1 8²
B: 1/ 8⁸
C: 8²
D: 8⁸

ok, 8^(-5) divided by 8^(-3) would be 8^(-5-(-3)), because when you divide numbers with the same base, you subtract the exponents. That would be 8^(-2), which I suppose is A
