Can Someone Explain algebraic fractions to me please? I Don't understand It

Algebraic fractions are the same as normal fractions, but they have algebraic expressions as the numerator/denominator.

For example,
(2)/(7) is a normal fraction, but
(3y - 2x)/(2y + 5x) is an algebraic fraction.
