Some elephants in the scrub jungles of Africa had long trunks with which to reach out for leaves. They were able to reproduce more successfully than elephants with short trunks. Which aspect of Darwin's theory is this scenario an example of?

The aspect of Darwinism, that applies that small variations in the genes of a creature are passed on through natural selection, if it increases the probability of: competition, survival, and reproduction.

"Gradual evolution" theory would be your answer

this means that those traits that are useful would be passed down, and non-useful traits would die out

hope this helps
