1,300 miles ---- 50 miles ----- 275 mile per hour.

↓ --- 1 hour

1,300 - 275 = 1,025 <- 2 hour

1,025 - 275 = 750 <---- 3 hour

750 - 275 = 475 <---- 4 hour

475 - 275 = 200 <--- 5 hour

200 - 50 = 150 <---- 6 hour

150 - 50 = 50 <--- 7 hour

50 - 50 = 0 <----- 8 hour

ANSWER ---->>>>> 8 Hours

All i did was subtract 275 from 1,300 until i wasn't able to, then i switched from subtracting with 275 to 50, and that's how i got my answer. (:

Equation:
train distance + plane distance = 1300 miles

50x + 275x = 1300
x(325) = 1300
x = 4 hours
4x2=8
---
The trip took 8 hrs.
