you would start off by simplifying the second fraction 4-1/5c → 3/5c.

now you add 2/5c + 3/5c which equals 5/5c. this simplifies to:
1/c= -9
we multiply c on both sides and get:
1=-9c
divide by a -9 on both sides to get c by itself.
we get:
c=-1/9
hope this helped!! xx
