One of the biggest controversies is how the government picked the "Japanese" to be sent to the camps. They picked everyone who was Asian because you usually can't tell who is Japanese and who is a different type of Asian which got a lot of backlash.

the fact that they could be Japanese spies leaking information to the Japanese government
