The correct answer is “From the Dutch”

The Dutch created the North American colony in 1614 and it was founded between England’s Southern and New England colonies. In 1664 English naval expedition seized control from the Colony the Dutch were outnumbered and because of that, they surrendered after negotiating. They changed the name to New York, Fort Albany, and New Jersey.
