Sieur de La Salle was a french explorer who came to America with a large expedition. They were aiming to form a large french settlement at the mouth of river Mississippi. The exploration was ruined partly by pirates which capture one of their ships and partly by their misfortune two others were sunk. In desperation his men killed him.

It was led by Sieur de La Salle. He was a French Explorer. René-Robert Cavelier is also his name and Robert de La Salle. He was known for exploring the Great Lakes, Mississippi River, and the Gulf of Mexico. He was the leader of french quest for an empire in Texas.
