In contrast to the people who migrated to the Americas, the Austronesian migrants to the pacific islands brought domesticated plants and animals with them.
People who traveled to the Americas to start living there didn't actually bring their plants and animals along, but rather just cultivated those they found there, unlike the Austronesian migrants.
