Good scientists use their imagination. what is the difference between being imaginative in doing science and doing pseudoscience?

I am guessing that the difference is that doing science is actually going through the process and pseudoscience is more of coming up with a hypothesis. It is more of making mistakes. You cant be imaginative in doing science bc you will need facts and the real thing
