The most likely weakness was probably: D. Daniel Shays Rebellion. If a government lacks the authority and power to prevent a rebellion, then you know that there is some sort of weakness. Hope this helps.

Answer:

Shay´s Rebellion occurred.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Articles of Confederation was an agreement made by the 13th original states of the United States and served as the first constitution. The articles preserved the independence and sovereignty of the States and the central government received only the powers that once recognized to the King or Parliament during the colony time.

The Shay´s Rebellion was an armed uprising in Massachusetts lead by the American Revolution War veteran Daniel Shay against the State´s effort to collect taxes. The rebellion proved the weakness of the Central Government under the Articles of Confederation because it could not afford financing troops to help the Massachusetts State. It was finally put down by private and statal militia.

The events create a common feeling in the Americans that the Articles needed to be reformed and because of that a Constitutional Convention was formed and a new government was created.

I hope this answer helps you.
