The first thing that you would want to do is find the cost of one yard of fabric.

7.47 / 3 = 2.49

Now that we know that each yard costs $2.49, we can multiply it by the number of yards you need to buy (two).

2 • 2.49 = 4.98

Your total for two yards of fabric is $4.98
