The African-Americans made two amendments that were considered as a huge political gain in the early phases of reconstruction.
These two amendments are as follows:
1- 14th Amendment :
This amendment guaranteed full citizenship status and full rights to all those who are born in the US.
2- 15th Amendment :
This amendment guaranteed the right of voting.
