Biodiversity refers to the number of animal and plant species in a particular community per time. It is ideal for a community to have high degree of biodiversity.
The principal aim of reproduction is to prevent a specie from becoming extinct. The species in the community can only sustain biodiversity by giving birth to young ones who will continue to exist after they are dead. Thus, a specie ability to reproduce is what sustain the biodiversity.
