-9x+1=80
Subtract 1 both sides.
-9x=79
Then divided by -9
The answer is -8.77 or -8.8

-9x + 1 = 80....subtract 1 from both sides
-9x + 1 - 1 = 80 - 1...simplify
-9x = 79...divide both sides by -9
