Explain why observation is important in the study of child development

Observation in specific child/group is important because it keeps children safe, and helps one know and understand how they should behave, assuming they already know the correct curriculum to help the child(ren).

As the study of children as a whole, it helps better understand the way minds are changing nowadays, in evolution, as well as how they compare to that of an adult.
