It impacts the criminal justice system because The U.S. Constitution is a guideline on how laws are to be made, enforced, and maintained.
When a government created a new policy, that policy will be checked by the Congress whether it's considered as lawful according to the constitution or Not which will influence whether the bill could be passed or not.
