C + O_2 ----\ \textgreater \ CO_2

Here we have to find the limiting reagent.

Let's start with 0.2 moles of C.
So, moles of O2 require = 0.2 moles

but, there are 0.4 moles of O2 available.
So, O2 is excess agent.

Means C is limiting agent. Means calculation will be done with C.

So, moles of CO2 form = 0.2

so, mass of CO2 = 0.2 x 44 = 8.8g
