What does grendel's relationship with nature -- the ram, the sky, grass, the doe, the baby bird, owls, and wolves -- reveal about his own personality?

Grendel seems to show hatred towards nature, he visualizes the life as a competition for survival. He sees wolves and understands the actions of predators as a struggle to survive specially keeping in mind the murder of his father by “Humans”. He appreciates the baby bird’s new life and the ability of doe to give life. His view towards life is a circle of life and death and nothing more.
