A golden eagle flies a distance of 290 miles in 5 days. If the eagle flies the same distance each day of its journey, how far does the eagle fly per day? Can you help and can you explain why

The eagle flies 58 miles per day. You must divide the distance (290) by the time (5 days). Since the eagles daily distance is consistant, you needn't do much more.

The eagle flys 58 miles per day. Because, 290/5 = 58
