How were the New England, Middle, and Southern Colonies impacted as a result of the Great Awakening? What is the Great Awakening & what happened in it?

The colonies were impacted by the great awakening because many of them returned to the their routine of going to church. Many returned to Christianity, and it made Christianity extremely popular, especially when they reached out to those who were not going to church. It reshaped many of the older European church's (not the more modern ones) and gave the different types of religion a new leader, for example, George Whitefield for Anglican, or Samuel Davies for Presbyterian
