Cycling is one of the best exercises when dealing with an arthritis patient. The lack of impact while development of cardiovascular health (seeing how it is a cardio workout), make it an excellent sport for the patient. Not of caution though, jogging does have some impact, mainly in the knees, but its not as severe as running, so could make a good substitute if patient can not cycle.
