Aimee bought 2 CDs each costing $11.95 and 3 CDs each costing $6.48. She paid with a $50 note. How much change did she receive?

Answer:

2 × 11.95 = 23.9
3 × 6.48 = 19.44

Total spent = 23.9 + 19.44 = 43.34

Change = 50 - 43.34 = $6.66
