When at work I take the extra time needed to do a good job.
It's always better to do a good job, even if it takes a bit longer than you anticipated, than to do a job quickly, but sloppily. The end result is what matters ultimately, so you need to sort out what you prefer - to see the results immediately and get a bad product, or wait a little longer to get something good.
