Stopping on snow and ice may require up to ten times the distance than normal conditions.

In normal conditions you can drive easily, but when there is snow, ice, fog, rain, it is difficult to drive. Some people thought a stopping distance was twice as in normal condition but it can increase up to ten times in snow and ice.
