At some point, I think Mercantilism is beneficial for many economies. Because of this, many countries were able to export products and maximize their incomes. The trans-Atlantic trade allowed many countries to sell off their products to other colonizers. Although, it was mostly slaves that were sold during this time. Many countries were able to buy off furs from fur traders in North America. Many countries were able to export tobacco, sugar, and spices.
