An increased amount of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles of the brain is called hydrocephalus. It is a condition where there is too much buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. This condition can happen due to a congenital disease or naturally present at birth. A primary sign of this would be having a large head with the size that is unusual. Other symptoms would include vomiting, headache, vision problems, balancing problems and memory problems. Hydrocephalus could put too much pressure on the brain resulting to a damage to the brain either temporarily or permanently. When not treated, it could cause death.
