The correct answer is sedimentary rocks.

Igneous rocks they are most likely to experience brittle deformation is termed as breaking of rocks.

When rocks are found on plate boundaries which are active they result to physical stress.

Materials which are brittle they have little energy as compared to fracture and the breaking is being accompanied by a snap sound.

HCP and BCC metals are brittle. Cast iron, tool steel and carbon steel are also brittle.
