Please help!

Find the rectangular coordinates of the point with the polar coordinations (-2, pi/3). Show all work.

x = r cos \theta \\ \\ y = r sin \theta


x = (-2) cos (\pi/3) = (-2)((1)/(2)) =-1 \\ \\ y=(-2) sin (\pi/3) = (-2)((√(3))/(2))=-√(3)

The rectangular coordinates are:

(-1,-√(3))
