A nurse is caring for a client diagnosed with sickle cell anemia who is taking hydroxyurea, sometimes toxicity can be produced. And nurse should the reporter about these findings: hemoglobin 4.2, neutrophills 1400 and platelets 75,000.
Hydroxyurea is also known as hydroxy carbamide and it is taken by mouth. Before taking this medicine consult the doctor first. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to hydroxyurea.
