During most of the selection from Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God persuaded his listeners of their sinfulness, Edwards's attitude changed at the end of the sermon and he became hopeful. Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God is a sermon that emphasizes the realness of Hell and that it awaits those that remain to sin. However, people can still be saved once they dedicate their life to God.
