Cladogram communicate the order by deriving the common characteristic of the identified set of organisms, that is considered as an ancestral characteristic, then group them by identifying the traits that can be physical or physiological in nature that are unique in the order or family of organisms to identify an out-group that will serve as the point of comparison. Think deeper for the differences of each in the in-group to derived another characteristic that will separate other organism in the order.
