when you divide 2 numbers with the same sign, the result is positive
example,
`(2)/(4)=0.5` and
`(-2)/(-4)=0.5`

when you divide 2 numbers with different signs, the result is negative
example:
`(-2)/(4)=-0.5` and
`(2)/(-4)=-0.5`
