The sketch of the square JKLM is shown in the diagram below, which also tells us the coordinate of M = (4, 1). Plotting the coordinate on a graph is the most efficient way to work out the coordinate of M.

Mathematically, JKLM is a square because all of its four sides are equal in length. We also can justify by measuring the interior angles. A further method of justifying that JKLM is a square is by showing the lines connecting at each vertex are perpendicular.
