Alcohol was a very important thing to trade. Rum was going around the Colonies, the Caribbean Area, and Europe, and was traded heavily which meant that there was a lot of taxation and a lot of money involved for everyone. It was also made out of sugarcane which grew superbly well in the Caribbean area.
