The points A(12,7), B(12,-3), C(-2,-3), and D(-2,7) form rectangle ABCD. Which point is halfway between A and B?

The X axis will remain the same. Then you find the distance between the y values which is 10. Since you're finding the halfway point you have to divide your distance by two, by which you'll get 5. Then you can either add 5 to -3 or subtract 5 from 7. This will give you the coordinate points (12,2).

To find the answer, you must find the midpoint of their x-coordinates and their y-coordinates. To do that, you take the average between their x and y-coordinates.
So, in this case, it is:
x: (12+12)/2 = 24/2 = 12
y: (7-3)/2 = 4/2 = 2

So, the answer is: (12,2)
