If two secants intersect from a point outside of the circle, then you can use formula:

26(26 + d) = 22(22 + 40)
676 + 26d = 22 * 62
26d = 1364 - 676
26d = 688
d = 688/26
d = 26.5 ← to the nearest tenth

What is the value of D to the nearest tenth ?
