The class that had disputes with silver miners regarding the water and land rights are the southwest ranchers.

To add, water rights are one of the interests that may attach to real estate ownership, and pertain to the rights to use adjacent bodies of water.

Southwest ranchers from Arizona had a conflict with the rights of their silver mining. This is because the guerilla war was happening at the time with the Apaches. The Spanish frontier found Arizona as a boundary which resulted that mining was held back for a time.
