Selective exposure is defined as paying attention to messages that are consistent with oneâs attitudes and beliefs and ignoring messages that are inconsistent.
This type of behavior may create a bias perception toward someone's character. For example, you think that all people that eat animals are evil and all people that take care of the environment are good.
When you meet a meat eater that contribute to the environment at the same time, you may overlook the contribution and see those people as evil.
